Innovation in the fields
We use technology to monitor and manage fields, which results in improved efficiency and sustainability.
Drones are a good example of tools that give a better insight into the situation in the fields; overlooking the terrain helps us detect foreign bodies quickly and efficiently.
Next to that, the satellite pictures and soil sensors allow us to control irrigation and fertilisation levels, ensuring responsible use of resources. Take our pepper fields in Spain, where we managed to reduce the water usage by more than 15% since 2019.

Finding new ways to improve our products is essential for Crop's company culture.
Chefs and food technologists in the R&D kitchen launch solutions that truly boost the process for our clients and satisfy the end consumer.
- A good example is our unique coating technique covering each piece of vegetable evenly with sauce.
- Even the cutting techniques can be a game-changer when it comes to frozen vegetables. We chop our spinach with a water knife, keeping the leaves in good shape and locking in maximum flavour thanks to that.
- Aesthetics matter, too. Our veggie roast mixes are cut into different shapes and formats, depending on the vegetable. Thanks to that, they look like a true homemade, hand-cut roast.
