Frozen broccoli gratin 750g
Ground beef 500g
Large potatoes, cleaned and diced 5-7
Salt, pepper, nutmeg to taste
Olive oil
You will also need: a potato masher & an oven dish

Perparation

  1. Before you start:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a large pan, heat some olive oil over medium heat.

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.

    Once ready, set aside.

  3. Meanwhile, boil the diced potatoes in a pot of salted water until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  4. Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them well and return them to the pot.

Mash the potatoes using a potato masher until smooth and creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of nutmeg to taste.

  5. Start building the hachis parmentier:

    • In the oven dish, spread an even layer of the cooked ground beef mixture.
    • Top the beef layer with the mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly over the beef.
    • Spread the bag of broccoli gratin evenly over the mashed potatoes.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dish is heated through.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

    Enjoy!
