Arancini with mozarella
Arancini are an Italian street food with risotto as its main ingredient.
The risotto is rolled into a ball, stuffed, breaded, and then fried. Use Crop's risotto base for an easy preparation of this delicious Italian specialty.
This arancini recipe is perfect for snacking or for serving as an appetizer. Or add a salad on the side to make a complete meal.
Ingredients

Frozen Risotto base | 500g |
Small mozarella ball | 1 |
Egg | 1 |
Flour | 80g |
Breadcrumbs | 80g |
You will also need: a deep fryer |
Preparation:

Sauté the frozen risotto base in a pan for 8 minutes

Cut the mozzarella into 8 pieces.
Form 8 balls from the risotto.
Make a hollow in each ball and place a piece of mozzarella inside. Seal the balls shut and repeat with all of them.

Place flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in three separate deep plates. Coat the arancini balls with flour first, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

Heat the deep fryer to 170°C.
Fry the arancini until golden brown and let them drain.
Adapt the arancini to your liking by adding herbs, peas or sundried tomatoes to the filling.
Serving Tip:
Serve the arancini with a side of tomato sauce. Pair with an arugula salad for a delightful meal.
